Cameroon-Far-North: 150 Million FCFA for flood victims

The populations of Logone and Chari and Mayo-Danay in the Far North region of Cameroon, have been homeless since 1 October 2019. The abundant rainfall unprecedented, have been prolonged for about two weeks. Pressure and rising water have destroyed habitats, crops and other property. The Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji, carried out on Friday, October 18th a visit in the localities invaded by the floods, question of noting for himself, the damage caused by these abundant rains. Then he gave the information that: "The Head of State ordered the release of 150 million FCFA, an immediate release for the victims. There are foodstuffs, sleeping materials and medicines that the Head of State asked for to be given to the affected populations. Thus, more than 50,000 homeless people since the beginning of this month will find a smile thanks to the palpable help they will receive from President Paul Biya, Head of State.
