After a four-day stay in the North-West region, the Cameroonian Prime Minister's tour of the crisis areas continues in the Southwest. Arrived Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Buea, the regional capital, the Head of Government was greeted by a jubilant population, as well as local administrative and traditional authorities. A warm welcome on the banks of the Mungo River to the heart of the city, one of the epicenters of the socio-political crisis in these regions.

Joseph Dion Ngute, who said he was the bearer of a message of national reconciliation and peace, the Head of State, thus began a four-day stay in the region. A trip that should also lead to Limbe this Wednesday, May 15 and Kumba, Thursday, May 16, 2019, other strongholds in the region in which the messenger of peace should advocate a speech of appeasement.

A mission of peace during which the emissary of the President of the Republic must meet and listen to all the forces and people. Faced with these layers representing local populations, Joseph Dion Ngute should reiterate the Government's willingness to open a national dialogue, with a view to a peaceful end to the crisis.

A dialogue on all the legitimate demands and expectations of Anglophone, Northwestern and Southwestern populations, excluding the secessionist question, which can not be negotiated. "Apart from separation and secession (...) the President of the Republic is ready to organize a formal dialogue to resolve the crisis", had already indicated the Prime Minister in Bamenda on May 9th. Thus clarifying that "the indivisibility of Cameroon" is non-negotiable.

The Head of Government thus materializes the will of the Government, to put an end to the sufferings of which the civil populations are the main victims. Violence between separatist armed groups and the Defense and Security Forces has created a worrisome humanitarian situation.
